A Day for Daisies New Release - Beach Bound in December?

Greetings!

How absolutely perfect to think of the beach in December.  As the winter winds kick up outside and the snow crunches under my feet, this week's release at A Day for Daisies makes me think of the warmth of the sun as the sand blankets my toes.

Head over to the store to pick up "Walk on the Beach," which is the image I used and many more.  They are guaranteed to warm you up and have you daydreaming about ocean waves and sunshine in no time.

Here's my creation...

When I was creating this card I actually was looking out the window at the 4" of snow we had just gotten.  I love to stare out the window at fresh falling snow; however, I hate to be outside in it.  Living in Michigan, I should be use to snow, but I'm not.  I look forward to the day when I can move to the country, own a house with a huge wrap around porch, and sit on the steps with my dog "Dog" writing short stories, poetry and designing cards.  Yes, that sounds divine. :-D

Well, thank you for looking!

Snow snow go away...

Greetings!

come back on a weekday!!  This is my mantra after I woke up to snow and more snow.  I figure if it snowed during the weekday, perhaps I could get a snow day!

I've lived in Michigan all my life, but I still can't get use to the cold or the snow.  Here's a couple of pics of my front yard.  It is gorgeous to look at, but havoc to drive in. :-)  Enjoy those of you who don't often see this...

Now I'll get to shoveling...

Today is new release Friday over at "a day for daisies."  I had a hard time deciding which image I wanted to share with you, but settled on "Expecting daisy."

This actually started out as a card and ended up becoming a brag book.  I can't show you the inside, because it is a Christmas gift for a friend and I want the inside to be a surprise.

Aren't images adorable?  What perfect images for all those expecting mother cards.  You have to make sure that you click on the DTs blogs on my sidebar, because they created some FAB cards with these images and you can too!  Just head over to the store and pick your images up.  You can find this beauty here.
Also, don't forget that we have the "All wrapped up" challenge going on over on the blog.  You can get more deets by checking out page above. :-)

Nettie G's Digital Gem Challenge: Freebie Image

Greetings!

Christmas will be here before you know it and I haven't done very much shopping.  I truly do not like to shop.  I wish I could give everyone a gift card and call it a day; however, I fear that I may offend some folks.  :-)

Anyways, I want to introduce you to a new digi artist whom I met over on the CDAC forum.  Her name is Nettie G (I call her Ms. G) and her artwork is phenomal.  Her artwork tells a story and envokes wonderful memories.  I've become one of her "Gems," and I'm excited to join a group of FAB ladies.

The image that I am working with is a Christmas tree, but not your traditional Christmas tree.  This tree is "sew" perfect for a card for the quilter and seamstress in your life.  Take a look and I am sure you will agree...

You can join us for the challenge over at the challenge blog.  You can check out her store here.  You will be blown away by her beautiful creations.

Inktegrity's Hump Day Challenge #26: Non-traditional colors

Greetings!

Brrr...baby it's cold outside!!  It's 22 degrees here in Michigan.  I need my comfy warm blanket and a cup of hot chocolate.  Well, maybe I will save that for the weekend, because it is Hump Day and that means that the weekend is only 2 days away!!  This also means that it is time for another Inktegrity Hump Day Challenge!!  First of all, congrats to the winner of last sketch challenge!

This week we are playing with colors...non-traditional Christmas colors to be exact.  We don't want the same old red, green and white...NOPE...this time we're asking that you shake some things up and throw in your fav colors for pizzaz!  I decided to use my niece's fav colors of pink and purple, because my card share this week is actually a treat box for her.  I used Joni's adorable "personalized" train digi!

I filled this little take out box with Maya's favorite double chocolate popcorn.  She will get a kick out of this and maybe I can even get her to share the popcorn. *gigl*

Well, now that you know what is expected of you...join us for the challenge and a chance to win a $5 gift certificate to Inktegrity store.

A day for daisies Challenge #7: All wrapped up!

Greetings!

It's time for Challenge #7 at A Day For Daisies! You know that special box wrapped so perfectly, you can hardly imagine what it might hold?  Yep…use wrapping paper in your card design. Lets take as much care in making these cards as we would in executing a flawless wrap job! These cards will be so pretty it won’t matter whats inside.  Its all in the wrapping!  The challenge begins today (December 3, 2010) and will close on December 16th at Midnight PST. So that means you have a whole two weeks to play along!

What a cool idea, huh?  Use wrapping paper to make your card.  I decided to use the wrapping paper as my designer background paper for my card.  Check it out my creation...

I used the black and white technique which I just learned and I love how it came out.  I would have never thought to use purple and gray together, but I think it works!  The cute bird in the nest came from my BFF Michelle C. and it worked so well with this image.  You can pick this gorgeous Tree Angel up here.

WAIT...there is more!  Today is Friday New Release day and you can get 25% off all the new release images and they are GORGEOUS!!  I want to share another card with you that I created using the new release image Buttons

Again, I used the black and white technique on this card.  I love how it turned out too!  I thank you for looking and make sure that you stop by the store to pick up these FAB images today and stop by the blog for the challenge.

Flashback Monday...Temperance

Greetings!

I decidedd to look back at some of my cards that I created when I was first starting to make cards.  I thought this card using the adorable, round Garfield would be appropriate after Thanksgiving. lol

I should pull this image out of my stash and redo it and post it with this one to see how different they would be.  I know just by looking at it that I wouldn't do this layout.  I don't understand why I cut Garfield's head off (poor kitty).

Well, thanks for flashbacking with me.

Little Winter Fairy's horse

Greetings!

I hope that you are all recovering well after the Turkey Dinner.  :-)  Today is new release day over at "a day for daisies."  Tammy is offering up a beautiful selection of images that will be sure to be the focal point for your creations.

Aren't they gorgeous?  You can head over to the store and pick them up, but hold on before you do look at what I created using the beautiful Little Winter Fairy's horse.

I love how this turned out, because I can imagine a little girl going "goo goo gaa gaa" over it.  Okay, maybe I'm the only one that does that; nevertheless, these are fun images.  Make a purchase today only and you get 25% off.  Sooo, take sometime in between running out to the stores, and head over to "a day for daisies" store and place your order.

Thanksgiving Day Post

Greetings!  Happy Thanksgiving!! :-)

I hope that you are surrounded by your fam...being thankful and eating some turkey and stuffing dressing (lol).  This post is a hodgepodge of creations that I've been working on using images or wordart from Paulette's Create with TLC.  If you follow my blog, you have heard me chat about Paulette and her awesome wordart.  Well, she also creates vintage images, as well.  I've posted a few of them in the past.

Well anyways, here are some creations I've made using her awesome wordart and or vintage digis. :-)

These tags were crated using Paulette's Christmas corner wordart set.  I have so many ideas for this set, but I created tags; however, if you are a scrapper they would add a nice touch to a page.  Also, if you want to jazz up your Christmas Card or envelope add them to those as well.

This is one of Paulette's "Name Your Price" wordart and vintage digi set.  These are awesome sets for quick cards.  I make up a bunch of cards using these sets, because people are always asking me do I have a card for whatever occassion.  These mini vintage sets allow you to make generic cards for whatever comes up.

I love Paulette's creations, because I can always find whatever wordart that I need for whatever project I'm working on in her store or on her blog.  Her kindess and generosity is contagious and appreciated.  So if you have never visited Paulette's blog well now is as good a time as ever.  I guarantee that you will not leave the blog without downloading something.  Remember, if you do to leave some love.

Inktegrity DT Hump Day Challenge #24: Anything Goes

Greetings:

Baby, it's cold outside.  We are expecting snow tomorrow for Turkey Day.  Me and cold weather don't mix well; however, hot chocolate does help.  Before I share with you this week's Inktegrity's Challenge creation, I want to say congratulations to Peggy of Colorful Designs for winning last week's challenge. :-)

I don't know if it is just me, but the days have been going by so fast that they are blending in to each other.  I can't believe it is time for another challenge.  Well, this week's challenge is "anything goes;" therefore, what ever creation you have whipped up we would love to see it.  Here's a little something I put together using Hot Chocolate Slusser.  I am obessessed with Joni's penguins. :-)

I didn't have any small candy canes.  When I give this away I will add little ones and the handle.

Okay, now it's your turn...just head over to the DT Challenge blog and show us your latest creation.  If you want to get your hands on this little cutie and the rest of this family, check out the store.
