ADFD New Release "Under the Sea" and Color Challenge

Greetings!

Happy Day after Thanksgiving!  I hope that you had a blessed and safe Turkey Day.  If you were brave enough to venture out in the crazy shopping world, I hope that you found great deals and managed not to get hurt.  I use to be brave soul and do the whole "Black  Friday" thing; however, now since I am approaching 40 (fast) my bones can't take the whole shoving around...excuse me...pardon me...I saw that first craziness of it all.  Soooo, I do all my shopping from my cute lil' computer. :-)

Well, on to this week's ADFD new release and challenge post.  Tammy decided to take us on an underwater adventure with this week's release.  Also, this is challenge week so we will be using beautiful colors of the sea to create with.

I really like how this turned out.  The colors are a FAB choice and everything ties together well.  You should check out the cuties in this set.  She has some oober cute mermaids and beautiful Koi fish.  Wait until you see what the other DTs did with these images...just adorable!

ADFD New Release "Giving Thanks"

Greetings!

It's Friday and time for another new release from ADFD.  I can't believe the last time I posted was last Friday.  I have been all kinds of busy as I am sure everyone is around this time.  I have been working on some tuts, projects for the upcoming Ready, Set, Create magazine I design for (which will feature ADFD) and getting ready for my graduation on December 10th.  Sooo, lots to do.

Anyways, I made a fun creation using two of Tammy's pumpkin scene images.

I've shown you several pictures of this creation, because it opens from the top and then the side.  I thought that it would make a cute mini scrapbook or brag book.  I used the images again with the words "Thanks" and "Giving."  I love the way it turned out and that pop of orange throughout really makes it stand out.  I paper pieced the little children's clothes as well as the doggie.  I like to combine digital paperpiecing with coloring.  The sentiment on this creation reads, "Celebrate the season of Thanks with the spirit of giving."

ADFD New release and "Flocking" challenge

Greetings (or Brrr)!

I am truly thankful that today is Friday.  However, I am even more thankful for all our Veterans and Troops.  You all rock!!  If you happen to run into a Vet or somone currently serving in any armed forces, take a moment to personally thank them for ALL they do!

Today Tammy has another adorable set of goodies for you to drool over.  *gigl*  I love how her sets have an excellent mixture of some of everything for everyone.  Trust me when I say, the DTs have a very difficult time deciding which images they want to work with for the week.  Sometimes, we even duplicate the images that we choose.  lol  This week my fellow DT member Tracy and myself both fell head over heels for the little girl with the lambs.  I believe that are styles are so very different that you can find inspiration from both creations.

Here's my creation and you can find Tracy's on any of the different ADFD sites listed below.  It is gorgeous!

Isn't she a cutie?!  I used flocking on the clouds.  I love to mix the flocking colors to create a different effect then one color gives me.  This is actually a card that looks like a tag; therefore, I didn't put ribbon through it.

ADFD New Release "Seasonal Fun"

Greetings!

Well, it's beginning to look a lot like...a full weekend for me!  I am teaching a couple card classes tomorrow so I've been running around like a crazy woman.  Oh well, at least I am having fun while doing it. :-)

Today, I bring to you the latest images from ADFD and as always they are too cute for words.  I chose to work with the beautiful Angel with a bell.  I just thought she looked so precious holding her little bell as she prepared to head out on stage for the Christmas pageant performance (there's a writer inside me).

Isn't she a cutie?  I think I am going to use her for my Christmas cards.  I just love how precious she is and I think I will color her next time with very soft pastels...lots of 000s.

A Crafting Start goes LIVE!!

Greetings!

I come to share some exciting news with you.  I had mentioned in a couple of post ago that I am a contributor for a new blog called "A Crafting Start" that is geared towards helping beginner crafters navigate through the craft world.  We offer great tips, techniques and fun tutorials to make crafting enjoyable. Well, we officially went live today and the DTs have put together some awesome creations using free digis from around the blogosphere.  Please take a moment to stop by and leave some love.  Also, while you are there we would love for you to follow us and spread the word about our site.

Here's a creation that I made using Karen's Doodles freebie turkey.  Isn't he awesome?!  Thank you Karen for this cutie.

I wanted to keep it simple with this creation.  I didn't even add a sentiment although a bizillion went  through my head. lol  I digitally paper pieced (tutorial on this is soon to come) his feathers (and yes they had to be purple).  I used Copics to color his body and cut him out using Spellbinders circle diecut.  The paper behind him is also digital paper and I used MS Lace punch to add a decorative edge.

Thanks for looking and please stop by A Crafting Start, leave some words of encouragement and follow us.
